Project overview
In the fast-paced logistics industry, efficient invoicing is critical to keeping carriers moving and cash flow steady. This project focused on redesigning a client portal to simplify invoice submission for truckers who sell invoices for purchase—without requiring them to download or adopt a new app.
Problem
User insights and adoption metrics revealed low engagement with the existing experience. Truckers spend most of their time on the road and were resistant to signing up for another application. The current process made it difficult to submit invoices, identify issues, and resolve exceptions, resulting in delayed approvals, fuel payment disruptions, and frustration.

A mobile-friendly, browser-based solution was needed to surface essential invoice details and enable quick action from anywhere.
We conducted stakeholder interviews and surveys to identify key pain points and success metrics. Based on these insights, we sketched and wireframed concepts focused on clarity, efficiency, and ease of use.

The core experience centered on a streamlined dashboard showing pending invoices, payment status, and prioritized actions. Iterative usability testing helped refine workflows, reduce friction, and validate design decisions.

Given the mobile nature of trucking, the portal was designed to be fully responsive, allowing carriers to submit invoices and resolve issues directly from any device.

The redesigned portal significantly reduced the time and effort required to submit invoices, improving approval speed and cash flow. Real-time status updates and automated reminders increased transparency and confidence in the process.

Carriers responded positively to the intuitive, mobile-accessible design, resulting in engagement more than twice that of the previous experience and a stronger relationship between carriers and factoring partners.
